Geely’s high-end SUV will be produced in 2010

As one of China’s own-brand automakers, Geely Automobile has produced a large number of economy cars as its main products for many years. However, after Geely implemented the multi-brand development strategy, its “Imperial”(Di Hao) brand will be the main high-end products, to assume the important task of enhancing brand value. Imperial brand will also offer many products in the future, including a high-end SUV. It is an auspicious Imperial SUV, code-named EX825. It will be officially put into production next year and will debut at the Shanghai auto show.

Zhengzhou Nissan to launch new MPV

The new MPV, codenamed C16A, can seat seven people and will be sold under Dongeng brand. The C16A will be powered by a 1.6L fuel engine and might be priced below 100,000 RMB(1 USD = 6.8RMB)

Meanwhile a C16A all-electric sedan is also being developed which can travel 150 km on a single charge. It can take a full charge in 5 hours.

Brilliance will debut all-electric concept in Shanghai auto show

The all-electric model is likely to be based on Junjie FRV as its prototype and its powertrain system will be possibly driven by fuel cells, a Brilliance insider said. The carmaker has set down a strategy regarding to new energy vehicle development, which includes R&D of fuel application technology, hybrid vehicles and fuel cell electrical vehicle.

Brilliance Auto will showcase eight models at the Shanghai auto show, including four new cars that are scheduled to go on sale after June.

BYD Auto February sales

F0: 4075 units

F3: 16227 units

F6: 3517 units

BYD sold 14,242 units of F3 model. With the new F3 automatic transmission model, the company aims to sell more than 10,000 F3 cars per month in future.

Sales of F6 model hit 3,517 units last month and the number is expected to reach 5,000 per month, said BYD.

In the meantime, BYD sold 4,075 F02 model cars and 1,985 F3R model cars.

BYD S8: BYD will launch its first convertible in Q2

Recently, BYD changed the name of the F8 to S8, to indicate that it is part of BYD’s sports models lineup, like the other BYD “S” Series models. It’s reported that BYD will debut the S8 at the April Shanghai Auto Show, and launch it in the second quarter of this year. Like BYD’s future electric cars, we await the S8 with excited anticipation.

Shanghai Auto Show Preview: Great Wall to debut 12 new models

Sources reported that Great Wall to debut 12 new models on the coming Shanghai auto show.

Great Wall will also debut three under-developed SUVs, including Hover M1 driven by a 1.3L engine, Hover H5 powered by a 2.4L engine and Hover M3, a five-seat compact SUV.

In addition, three Great Wall sedans including Florid, Peri and Cool bear, along with Wingle pickup and Cowry MPV, will be displayed at the event. A newly developed electric car and a Wingle RV will also be exhibited.

BYD M6 to show off at Shanghai Auto Show

The April’s Shanghai Auto Show is getting closer, BYD disclosed recently that they will surely debut M6, the expected China-made MPV. As BYD’s high-end MPV model, this auto show will be the first publish show of M6.

BYD will bring F Series, S Series, M Series, DM dual-mode electric vehicles and pure electric vehicles, including F3, F0, F6, F3R upgraded version and upcoming sports sedan S8, BYD’s high-end MPV M6, dual-mode electric vehicle F3DM, F6DM and pure electric car E6.

Chery to launch Riich G5 by Q4

Chery’s new high-end brand, Chery Riich, is under hot discussion these days, following by G6′s production, Chery will launch a relatively smaller model G5 by 4th quarter this year. As far as know, Riich G5 will positioned as a sport car, very different from the business car G6.

Riich G5 measures (L/W/H) 4714/1794/1473 mm, wheelbase is 2700mm,it equips the turbocharged engine developed by Chery.

In configuration, G5 equips satellite navigation, car video, car Bluetooth phone and smart keys, its very luxurious indeed.
