Chang’an Auto to debut E301 crossover at Shanghai Auto Show

Sources reported that Chang’an Auto will roll out several new products at the April Shanghai Auto Show, including the Chang’an E301, a design study for a compact crossover.

The other cars to be debuted includes Chang’an Benben, Zhixiang, Jiexun hybrid and Yuexiang, Ford Fiesta hatchback, Mondeo Zhisheng, Mazda2, Suzki Swift X9, etc

Chang’an Yuexiang to launch on 18th, March

Sources from Chang’an Automobile, Chang’an Automobile’s new small car – Yuexiang will be held in Chongqing Nanping conference listing. The first market for the 1.5L manual models, the estimated price is around 60, 000 – 80, 000 RMB (1USD = 6.8RMB), followed by Chang’an will launch the Yuexiang automatic version, with four-speed Aisin automatic transmission.

Yuexiang was based on the V101 which first show on the 2008 Beijing Auto Show, in the shape up into a lot of Chang’an Automobile brand inherent characteristics.

Breaking: Chang’an and Dongfeng to bid for Ford Volvo

Three interested companies may place indicative bids for Ford’s up-for-sale Swedish brand Volvo Cars in April, according to Swedish newspaper Dagens Industri (DI).

Reuters noted that DI quoted unnamed sources as saying that the three bidders include Chinese carmakers Dongfeng Motor Group and Chongqing Changan Automobile Co, and “a European constellation”.

“Indicative bids are to be expected around the Easter weekend,” the paper said. The expected purchase price for Volvo is believed to range between SEK20bn ($2.29bn) and SEK25bn ($2.86bn), it reported.

The paper also said the European Investment Bank (EIB) was expected to grant Volvo a 5 billion Swedish crowns ($568 million) loan in the near future. Volvo applied for the loan last month.

Volvo Cars is a separate company from Gothenburg, Sweden-based Volvo AB, the world’s second-largest truck maker. Dongfeng Motor Corp is China’s third-biggest automaker while Changan Auto Group manufactures Volvo cars in China in a partnership with Ford.

In 2009, Hainan Mazda will launch 3 new models: new Mazda MPV that based on PREMACY, Mazda C71 and a new Mazda SUV. The mini car, Mazda C71 should attract us more.

By reported, the Hainan Mazda C71 equips 1.3L and 1.5L engine made by Shenyang Aerospace Mitsubishi Engine Co and measures(LxWxH) 3890 x 1695 x 1480.

Compare to the Mazda 2 hatchback, the Hainan Mazda C71 will pricing between 70, 000RMB and 90, 000RMB by eastimated.

Chang’an Yuexiang was designed by the famous European car designer: Dambrosio Luciano. The Chinese name “Yuexiang” stands for “Happy Flying”, which shows the meaning that “Yuexiang” drivers could drive the car very happy and fast.
