Chery, the Chinese automaker with a sweet-sounding name, is serious about entering the European market as quickly as possible.

This is the Chery A6 coupe, spied testing in the UK. It will be the flagship model for Chinese Automakers when it launches in the European market later this year.

The Chery A6 was styled with the involvement of Italian design house Bertone and made its debut in concept form at the 2007 Shanghai auto show.

It is based on an all-new platform, which is designed to meet European crash test standards. The platform will also spawn a saloon car and compact SUV.

Further spin-offs from this A6 include a hatchback ‘shooting brake’ version and, possibly, a folding-roof coupe.

Chery Tiggo: The high cost performance SUV

Recently we learned from some Chery 4S stores in Beijing that Chery Tiggo now offering a big current cash discount(about $880) and additional decorations.

In the low-end SUV market, Chery Tiggo is an outright winner, in the pricing range of 90, 000 – 120, 000 rmb(13, 200 – 17, 650 USD), Tiggo doesn’t have a considerable competitor, so, in the SUV market, Tiggo occupied a large market share. But due to the discharge standard, 2.0L models will be temporarily absent from Beijing markets.

Chery Storm 2 was exhibited in the Beijing Auto Show last year, after a number of spy photos and rumors, now it’s come to mass production and very probably to launch in mid ’09.

Besides the Sedan version that we’ve seen in the Beijing Auto Show, Chery is also building the hatchback version of Storm 2. The expected Storm 2 would have more innovative changes in style and more fashion features, we believe that it’ll be more fits for young customers after mass production. Lets looking forward and pay attention to it!

Chery A3 hatchback arrived at Shenzhen

Yesterday when PCauto editors passed by Shenzhen, they happened to met the sample Chery A3 hatchbacks. A3 was designed by the world-famous auto design corp: Pininfarina. But unfortunately, the company founder, Pininfarina was dead at a traffic accident last year.

Chinese Beetles: Chery S16 to launch this year

At a overall glance, Chery S16 is very similar to the Volkswagen Beatles, especially the front-end design curve. The new headlamps and taillights adopted an integrated group Led lamp design, the rounded style looks very cute indeed. S16 is expected to launch in April, the Shanghai auto show, prices would be lower than the QQ3.
