FAW Red Flag SUV to produce in 2010

Red Flag SUV was totally designed by Red Flag itself and evoked strong repercussion by its first show off on 08′ Beijing Auto Show.

Though Red Flag SUV encountered some frustrations after its birth, Red Flag was never stop its steps to optimize and reconstruct the marketing network and redefined the new product. It’s reported that Red Flag SUV will come to production in 2010 and release by the year end.

BYD to heads to U.S. in 2011

BYD, the Chinese company that makes 65% of the world’s nickel-cadmium batteries and 30% of the world’s lithium-ion mobile phone batteries, has ambitious plans for hybrid and electric automobiles.

According to the official site, BYD is targeting 2011 to get the F3DM into the United States. Now, BYD is working hard on building its cars to suit American drivers’ tastes. “BYD’s information technology division has been in business in the U.S. for 10 years. We understand Americans’ concerns about safety and quality. So in designing this car for the U.S. market, we will certainly meet these requirements,” BYD’s principal says. For now, BYD will focus on China’s domestic market. Priced at about $22,000 each, the cars are a bit pricey for average consumers, so BYD will first aim at government and corporate buyers.

2010 Honda Insight to launch in China? When?

Today, Honda launch its hybrid vehicle, 2010 Honda Insight, the strongest competitor of Toyota Prius. Based on the Honda J-VX concept car unveiled at the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show, the Insight was introduced in 1999 and was the first production vehicle to feature Honda’s Integrated Motor Assist system. Insight has less advantage than Toyota Prius in fuel enconomy, but due to its lower price and higher cost-performance, 2010 Insight to launch in China is something that sooner or later.

TOYOTA FORTUNER: The SUV that never seen in China?

If you ever been to Japan or Thailand, you must have seen this big guy in the street frequently: TOYOTA FORTUNER. Yes, FORTUNER is very popular  in those two countries. Have you ever seen FORTUNER in China? Of course not. But recently, CCF readers saw it in the Shenzhen auto market.

The seller told that TOYOTA FORTUNER has a Chinese name “TOYOTA Runner 2700″,  a number of engine options are available depending on the country of sale, including a 2.7 liter 2TR-FE and 4.0 liter 1GR-FE V6 petrol with Variable Valve Timing and 2.5 2KD-FTV and 3.0 1KD-FTV common rail variable geometry turbocharger Diesel models.

TOYOTA Previa vs BYD M6

Previa  is the hign-end MPV of Toyota and first imported into China in 2007. Previa has  the 2.4L and 3.5L discharge models with pricing in 459, 800 ~ 522, 000 rmb.

BYD believe that the slow-growth MPV market due to the high pricing and old styling of MPVs. BYD also believe the new product could gets more market attentions, thus, BYD M6, as known as its high cost-performance will have more advantages?

Chery A6CC heads to UK?

Chery, the Chinese automaker with a sweet-sounding name, is serious about entering the European market as quickly as possible.

This is the Chery A6 coupe, spied testing in the UK. It will be the flagship model for Chinese Automakers when it launches in the European market later this year.

The Chery A6 was styled with the involvement of Italian design house Bertone and made its debut in concept form at the 2007 Shanghai auto show.

It is based on an all-new platform, which is designed to meet European crash test standards. The platform will also spawn a saloon car and compact SUV.

Further spin-offs from this A6 include a hatchback ‘shooting brake’ version and, possibly, a folding-roof coupe.
