Lifan Auto launched 3 new models in Vietnam

Reported by China’s Ministry of Commerce, June 28, Lifan Auto announced they launched Lifan 320, Lifan 620 and Lifan 520I in Vietnam.

At the formal launching event Lifan also announced it has signed deals to sell 700 Lifan cars to three Vietnam taxi companies through its local agency.

Lifan, which made a name for itself as maker of motorcycles as well as truck and bus engines, has sold 1,700 vehicles in Vietnam since it came into the country in 2007.

BYD is ready to launch S8 in next month!

Sources from NetEase, China’s first convertible, the BYD S8 will be launched in August. The S8 will be BYD’s first S series model to list on market, price would come around 200, 000 Yuan(1USD = 6.8Yuan).

The S8 is well known of fashion design and its full sports-style. The grille, headlamps and peanut-based fits very perfect. It measures(L*W*H) 4490MM * 2020MM * 1405MM with wheelbase 2520MM.

BYD to launch 5 new models in next half of the year

Reported by NetEase Auto, BYD Auto will launch 5 new models in next half of this year,  these five new models are S8, G3, L3 and M6. The BYD S8 (former F8) is China’s first coupe-like sedan that uses hard-top convertible technology. At present, the “S8 Convertible” is on mass production and may go on sale by early July.

China’s top 10 sedan brands in terms of sales from January to May

The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) on Tuesday that China’s top 10 sedan brands in terms of sales from January to May saw their sales come to 761,200 cars, the top ten sedan brands were:

BYD to sell F3DM to individual customers

Reported by Beijing Times, BYD said yesterday that it has decided to sell its F3DM electric car to individual customers from September on. Before September, the F3DM sedan is sold to corporate customers only.

BYD will launch E6 in the second half of the year

During the auto show in Shenzhen, BYD’s new electric car E6 came out again, according to BYD’s presentation, this new model is a five-seat model and the chassis was developed by BYD itself. Nevertheless, E6 is a pioneer in environmental protection models which uses the pure power-driven method.

It’s also reported that E6 will be officially launched in the second half of this year, the pre-sale price would be around 200, 000 YUAN. E6 would be the second environmental protection model after BYD launched its hybrid model (DM) last year.

Chery launched A5 1.5L Automatic today

Today on the Shenzhen – Hong Kong – Macao International Auto Fair, Chery Auto launched its A5 1.5L Automatic, including Standard, Elite and Luxury edition, priced between 55, 800Yuan and 67, 800 Yuan(I US Dollar  = 6.8 Yuan).

Compare to the original model, the new A5 1.5L has no much changes on appearance and shape, the design is not very fashionable, but the new model is more practical and aesthetic.

Hafei Saibao Electric Vehicle heads to U.S.

Sources reported that Hafei Saibao is planning to send its cars to the United States. Hafei has developed an electric version of its Saibao sedan, a five-year-old compact model designed by Pininfarina and unveiled at the 2004 Beijing Auto Show. Rebadged as the Coda Sedan, the Saibao EV is slated to go on sale in California in late 2010.
